The Mounts of Lebanon are an icon of the ancient history of the country being mentioned in the Holy Bible for many times.
Not only Salomon king, or the Brazilian Emperor D. Pedro II were impressed by those walls built by nature, any visitor can’t resist the majesty of those mountains. That’s why, we have chosen the “Mount Lebanon” region for our 10th issue.
Mount Lebanon is one of the six governorates in Lebanon, its capital is Baabda and the population of the region is in majority Christian. This governorate is named after the mountainous region of Mount Lebanon and, except for Beirut, spans the area along the Mediterranean coast between Lebanon’s North Governorate and South Governorate.
For this special we brought as cover the traditional Lebanese ice cream “Glace Maurice Bachir”, telling the story behind this icon of Lebanese history. Success this month brings to you the brilliant doctor Andre, the dentist of the Brazilian in Lebanon.
Jeita, the famous cave that enchants all the world is also adding in this issue. See also the Chouf reserve, and the legendary Ceders of Lebanon.
The region we picked is indeed full of history, in this issue you will learn more about the story of the famous “Casino du Liban” and the noble work of the actress Zeina Daccache.
Living in Lebanon we can never skip the topic “food”, therefore, this month try out the recipe of the tempting “Kenafeh”. Now if you are more into an opposite side and looking forward to remove some extra kilos take a look on our well being section and start a detox diet or meet our newest collaborator Felix, who will give us insights in fitness!
For our fellows Brazilian women who got married to Lebanese, the lawyer Leon Sermerijian explains what is the legal conditions of the Brazilian woman when it comes to the professional area.
